Perched Female Cardinal Studio-Glass Ornament. Small Lot - Limited Production.
Description
This female cardinal completes the Cardinal family. Her body is natural tones of amber brown and she has a touch of red on the wings and her crest. She's unusual in the songbird world in that she "sings" just like the males!
The female cardinal comes with her own detachable live-edge log perch that has been sanded on the underside for stability. Simply slot the bird ornaments legs into the corresponding holes in the top side of the wood.
How your bird is created
Your female Cardinal is handcrafted entirely from glass - no paints, glazes or moulds are used in the production of the ornament. The bird shape is designed and hand-cut, then layers of coloured crushed glass built up on the clear shape before firing the bird in a kiln over many hours. I initial each bird on their reverse side.
