The Misfits – perfectly imperfect glass birds
Every now and then, a bird comes out of the kiln with a little quirk - maybe a shorter leg, a tiny mark on the reverse, or something just a touch different from desired. These “Misfits” are still full of character, they just didn’t quite meet my regular flock’s standards.
Rather than condemn them to the glass bin in the sky, they’re offered here at a special reduced price. They're still cute, still handmade, and still very much one of a kind.
Each Misfit bird also gives back: a portion of every sale is donated to Misfit Manor Dog Rescue and ElderDog Canada, two wonderful charities helping dogs who need a bit of extra care and kindness.
Please note: Misfit birds are sold as is. Often you'll get the one photographed, but feel free to email me and check. Their imperfections are minor and on the reverse. The front displays beautifully.
Size: Approximately 3.5 " (adult), 2.5" (chick), 1-1.5" (pocket)
Display: Detachable log or driftwood perch depending on bird type; size and shape will vary

Birds: General Information
- • Studio-glass handcrafted fused glass in Nova Scotia (no paints, glazes, or moulds)
- • Photos are for guidance only, though your bird will look similar. Minor variations in colour, tone and shade are part of the handmade charm
- • The direction the bird is facing varies — please let me know if you have a preference
- • Fused glass has a front and back — the front is glossy with detail
