Arc of Glass
A deep curve of glass in ocean blues and aquas. Glass art in its own right as a piece of standalone decorative glass on a windowsill. For the practical minded, it also works well on shelves, to disguise a plant pot or use it on the table as a candle sconce. Perfect for coastal themed decor.
This is a special firing of a design I used to make around 10 years ago! Inspired by the colours and movement of the Atlantic, each Ocean Arc is shaped in the kiln over three firings. Layers of blue glass are combined with soft chunky pieces of glass that are reclaimed and reshaped from my other studio work. The mix of shapes and textures gives the arc a coastal, wave-worn look.
If using a candle with the arc, place it a short distance behind the glass curve. The glass should never be in direct or close contact with flame or high heat. A small battery tealight is a simple, safe alternative.
Each piece is handmade and intended for year round display, and unique. The shades of blue will vary.
