Each glass art bird is handcrafted from fused glass. Designed and drawn by hand, the shapes are then cut from clear glass, building layers of finely powdered coloured glass between the clear bird shapes. Next, the glass pieces are kiln-baked, fused at ultra high temperatures then strengthened by a controlled cooling. No paints, glazes or moulds are used. No two glass art birds are the same. I initial each piece on the reverse. The original Canadian glass birds!
