Shipping Information | The Glass Bakery

Handcrafted fused glass birds shipped with care across Canada

How long will it take to process my order?

I carefully package and ship most orders within 2–3 business days of receiving your payment. If there’s an unexpected delay, I’ll email you with an updated shipping date. Please check your spam or junk folder if you don't hear from me within a couple of business days, in case my email has gone to your junk folder.

How much will it cost to ship my birds or glass art?

I offer provincial flat-rate shipping across Canada for fused glass pieces. Current domestic shipping rates (before tax) are:

  • Nova Scotia: $17

  • New Brunswick, PEI, Ontario: $25

  • Other Canadian provinces: $35–$38 (depending on location)

Extra-large, heavy items, or shipments to remote areas may incur additional fees. If that applies, I’ll contact you to confirm the final shipping cost. Please note, shipping charges are subject to tax

US Shipments: Please note, while Canada Post is on strike, all parcels to the US need to be sent via courier. This means that additional charges will apply that aren't necessarily reflected in the automated cart. If you email me, I'll give you the shipping costs to the US via courier.

How will my glass bird or art be shipped?

Within Canada, your order will be shipped via courier service. For orders sent to a PO Box, Canada Post will be used instead unless you've listed a civic number.

You’ll receive a tracking number from the courier to monitor your shipment. Sometimes tracking updates take up to 24 hours to activate.

Shipping does not include insurance unless it’s a wholesale order. If you want to add insurance or request faster delivery, please email me directly. You can pay by e-transfer or credit card.

Do you offer international shipping?

Yes! However, due to customs restrictions on wood products, I cannot ship perched birds that have wooden perches outside Canada. I only ship hanging birds and glass art without wood internationally. You may purchase a perched bird minus the wood part.

To avoid confusion, I’ve removed perched birds from the product catalogue visible to international customers. If you want a perched bird without its perch (great for planters!), please email me.

Customs and duty charges for international shipments are the responsibility of the recipient.

Please note, while Canada Post is on strike, all international parcels need to be sent via courier. This means that additional charges will apply that aren't necessarily reflected in the automated cart. If you email me, I'll give you the shipping costs to the US via courier.

Shipping Insurance & Liability

The Glass Bakery is not liable for lost, missing, or delayed packages. If you want to protect your order with shipping insurance, please request it when ordering, and contact me to send the additional payment.
