How much will the shipping cost for online shopping?
The Glass Bakery is pleased to offer simple flat rate shipping for shipping within Canada.
The shipping prices for Canada are:
Atlantic Canada: $15 for purchases under $150; FREE for purchases above $150 (before taxes) except for heavy items which may incur an additional cost (this will be indicated in the product description). All items must be shipped to the same address to qualify for free shipping.
The Rest of Canada: $20 for purchases under $150; FREE for purchases above $150 (before taxes) except for heavy items which may incur an additional cost (this will be indicated in the product description). All items must be shipped to the same address to qualify for free shipping.
Extra Large and Heavy items, or remote areas may incur additional charges which will be displayed in the cart.
If you'd like the glass shipped outside of Canada, the online shopping cart will automatically calculate the cost of International Shipping after your order has been input into the basket.
What methods of shipping are available?
Glass Art shipped within Canada will be usually sent either via Canada Post Expedited Service, or a courier. All orders with a PO Box will be shipped Canada Post. You'll be forwarded a tracking number either by myself or the shipping company so that you can trace your order. Sometimes it takes 24 hours for that tracking number to become active.
The courier name shown in the Shopping Cart may not necessarily be the courier used to ship your parcel.
Please note, shipping does not include insurance. If you would like insurance or faster delivery, please email me your order rather than using the online cart. You will still be able to pay via e-transfer or credit card.
The delivery standards of shipping companies may be adversely affected by Covid-19 and take a little longer than usual.
Do you ship Internationally?
Yes! We'll ship wherever you'd like. Online shopping for some countries are set up within the Shopping Cart system. If your country of delivery is not listed on the Cart webpage, please email your order to email@example.com with your full contact details, the order and request a shipping quote. Please note that for all international deliveries, parcels are sent with delivery duties, taxes and any other fees associated with importing, unpaid. The recipient/customer is responsible for paying any applicable fees related to customs, handling, tax or duty.
When will the glass be shipped?
I try to get the glass to you as quick as possible. Most orders of glass will be shipped out within 2-3 business days. At Christmas, Holiday's or for larger orders, it might take a little longer. If your order is likely to take longer than a week to be mailed out, I'll contact you. If you're on a tight schedule, please email ahead to let me know and I'll provide an estimate of fulfillment.
For wholesale orders, weddings and charitable events etc., please allow longer - around 2-3 weeks.
Glass is fragile isn't it? What happens if my glass arrives damaged?
Fused glass is usually sturdier than the average wine glass or stained glass piece. Most of the pieces I create are fairly robust "for glass". I will package your order carefully with several layers of protection to ensure its safe delivery. If, in the unfortunate (and rare) event, your glass should arrive broken, please get in touch and email pictures of the damaged piece and the packaging as it arrived and I'll replace the piece or offer a refund for the price of the damaged glass.
The Glass Bakery is not liable for missing or lost packages. All packages are insured with Canada Post for loss (not damage), up to $100. If you'd like additional insurance, please let me know at the time of ordering.
