Shipping

How much will the shipping cost?

The Glass Bakery offers provincial flat rates for shipping within Canada. Although subject to change, domestic Canadian Shipping rates (excluding tax) are currently in the region of:

Nova Scotia $17; New Brunswick, PEI, Ontario $25; and the rest of Canada $35-38 dependent on province. Extra large and heavy items such as oversized picture panels, or deliveries to remote areas may incur additional charges (you will be contacted to confirm extra shipping charge). Tax is applied to shipping charges.

Shipping rates for the United States are not flat rates and are instead calculated by Canada Post's online calculator.

What methods of shipping are available?

Unless you have a PO Box or add a request on your order notes, Glass Art shipped within Canada will usually be sent via courier. All orders with a PO Box will be shipped using Canada Post. You'll be forwarded a tracking number either by myself or the shipping company so that you can trace your order and determine when it may arrive. Sometimes it takes 24 hours for that tracking number to become active.

The courier name shown in the Shopping Cart may not necessarily be the courier used to ship your parcel.

Please note, shipping does not include insurance. If you would like insurance or a faster delivery service, please email me your order rather than using the online cart. You will still be able to pay via e-transfer or credit card.

Do you ship Internationally?

Unfortunately, I'm currently unable to ship glass outside of Canada or the US due to the restrictive cost of liability insurance.

When will the glass be shipped?

Most orders of glass will be shipped out within 2-3 business days. At Christmas, Holiday's or for larger orders, it might take a little longer. If your order is likely to take longer than 5 business day before shipping, I'll email to let you know. If you're on a tight schedule, please email ahead to let me know and I'll provide an estimate of fulfillment.

For wholesale orders, weddings and charitable events etc., please allow longer - around 2-3 weeks.

What happens if my glass arrives damaged?

Fused glass is sturdier than the average wine glass or stained glass piece.  I create robust pieces and package your order carefully with several layers of protection to ensure safe delivery. If, in the unfortunate (and rare) event your glass should arrive broken, please get in touch and email pictures of the damaged piece and the packaging as it arrived. I'll replace the piece or offer a refund for the price of the damaged glass.

The Glass Bakery is not liable for missing or lost packages or late deliveries.  All packages are insured with Canada Post for loss (not damage), up to $100. If you'd like additional insurance, please let me know at the time of ordering.
