Ocean Arc - Special Firing!
This is a special firing of a design I used to make around 10 years ago! Inspired by the colours and movement of the Atlantic, each Ocean Arc is shaped in the kiln over three firings. Layers of blue glass are combined with soft chunky pieces of glass that are reclaimed and reshaped from my other studio work. The mix of shapes and textures gives the arc a coastal, wave-worn look.
Use it as a small candle sconce or as a standalone decorative piece. It works well on shelves, to disguise a planter, on a windowsill or any spot that could use a bit of coastal colour.
If using a candle with the arc, place it a short distance behind the glass curve. The glass should never be in direct or close contact with flame or high heat. A small battery tealight is a simple, safe alternative.
Each piece is handmade and intended for year round display, and unique. The shades of blue will vary.
