Sandpiper shorebird sun-catcher/tree or window ornaments to remind you of the beach days in Nova Scotia! The Sandpiper is a favourite little long-legged bird commonly found running around the mud-flats of the Bay of Fundy and along the sandy beaches of Maritime Canada. My sandpipers are loosely modelled on the Semi-Palmated and Least Sandpiper varieties. 

Your hanging Sandpiper ornament is created entirely from glass, and conveniently threaded with clear monofilament for dangling in your window! The shape is designed and hand-cut, then layers of coloured crushed glass are built up on the clear shape before firing the bird is in a kiln over many hours.
