Bring a touch of joy and hope to your home with this fused glass Eastern Bluebird ornament. Reflecting the essence of these vibrant songbirds in beautiful royal blue and terracotta.

  • Artisan Studio Glass Handcrafted in Nova Scotia (no paints, glazes or molds)
  • Glass bluebird (Sialia sialis) ornament and live edge log perch 
  • Most Birds ship in a few business days. Pairs may take up to a week to ship.
  • Size Approximately: 3.5 " for adult, 2.5" for chick and 1" for mini pocket sized
  • Photos are for guidance only, though your bird will look similar. As it's handcrafted glass art, there will be minor variations in colour, tone and shade.
  • The direction the bird is facing varies.
  • Fused glass has a front and back. The front is glossier and has more detail. 

     

    How your bird was made 

    Bluebird is entirely from art glass - no paints, glazes or moulds. The shape was designed and hand-cut, then layers of coloured crushed glass built up on the clear shape before firing the bird is in a kiln over many hours.  I initial each bird on his reverse. The bird comes with his own detachable live edge log perch that has been sanded on the underside for stability. Simply slot the birds legs into the holes in the top side of the wood.
