Fused Glass Perched Tree Swallow 

I was driven to make glass Tree Swallows after watching them effortlessly skate the skies above the lakes and fields behind Annapolis Royal. Tree Swallows (Tachycineta bicolor) are so graceful and swift! To mimic the iridescence in their shimmering wings, the glass used on these Swallows bodies is infused with metallic flakes which make their "feathers" subtly glitter.

This Swallow is part of a Special Edition series featuring a raised, contoured wing. The They come with a detachable driftwood perch.

A meaningful keepsake gift or a distinctive accent for any home or office.
